Now this little recipe is a good one.It just barely fits into the 30 minute meal category. But I think its worth a try.Prep and cook time for this one is about 45 minutes to a hour .Give or take a few minutes. Great healthy alternative to fried chicken, you can use any part of the chicken
you’d like. For the purpose of this recipe I chose to use boneless, skinless, chicken breast.
Crispy Baked Chicken
Light vegetable oil cooking spray
6 medium size boneless, skinless chicken breast
3 1/2 cups of ice cold water
1 cup of low fat plain yogurt
1 cup of dried bread crumbs
1 cup of flour
1 tablespoon of OLD BAY seasoning
1/2 teaspoon of garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon of Creole seasoning
1/4 teaspoon of black pepper
Dash of cayenne pepper
1/2 teaspoon of dried thyme (optional)
1/2 teaspoon of dried basil
1/2 teaspoon of dried oregano
*Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
Spray coat your cooking sheet 3 times with the light cooking oil spray.Fill a large bowl with ice cold water and place the chicken breast in it.Soak chicken for at least 10 minutes. Empty the container of plain low-fat yogurt into a medium size bowl, keep cold.Combine flour,bread-crumbs and all of your seasonings together,in a sealed container.Remove chicken pieces from water one piece at a time, shake well.Dip chicken beast in yogurt, coat chicken on both sides completely.Dredge chicken in bread-crumb and flour mixture making sure each piece is completely covered with the mixture.Spay a coat of cooking oil on both sides of chicken.
Space chicken breasts evenly on a well coated cooking sheet.Place the tray on the bottom shelf of the pre-heated oven.Bake for 15-20 minutes and turn the pieces over.Bake another 15- 20 minutes or until chicken is golden brown.
Fitness Tips
1. Mix it Up – Every little bit counts! Missed your daily workout? Don’t worry, you can still fit
something in.While watching one of your favorite television programs and do a few strength
training moves during the commercial breaks:lunges, squats, crunches – mix it up! Give yourself small achievable goals and follow through on them.
2. Lift weights & Your Spirits – Studies show that even a little bit of exercise can affect the mood – controlling parts of your brain. Try a bicep curl by standing with your feet shoulder width apart, place your arms at your side, slowly bend your arm lifting the weight towards your face, slowly return your arm to your side.Repeat the same action for the other side.Complete 12 reps each arm and the next time you have a bit of a tough day remember to reach for your free weights instead of junk food.
3. Buddy Up – Working out with a buddy can greatly increase your chances of sticking with a new fitness routine.Just be sure to pick a good partner, someone you can count on.Meet your work out buddy for a morning jog,lunch-time power walk, or even a pilates or yoga class.Have some fun getting fit with your friend and help each other reach your fitness goals.

Crafting for dollars
By Azurahalla
I love crafting, since I was a little girl I always managed a way to make something from old scraps of material or something. My mom used to sew a lot when we were kids and I guess I picked up on some of her craftiness. Mom would sew all kinds of things. I don’t know if it was out of necessity or just because she loved to sew. Whatever her reasons, I was always fascinated by what she could do with a sewing machine. Early on mom taught me how to sew a button on a shirt, darn socks and cut patterns. Those were just a few of the things I learned from Mom and over the years i’ve adapted my own style of crafting and turned my love into a fun side-business.
Over the years i’ve made anything from purses covered in feathers ,pillows shaped like a woman’s behind to soaps, and lotions. I’ve always had a number of friends and family members that were willing to give a few bucks for some creative piece i’ve fiddled with. The extra money always comes in handy and its something I do in my spare time anyway. Sure, I haven’t made a million dollars or even put away for my son’s college education. But, i’ve had alot of fun finding new ways to be creative.
I’ve recently turned my attention to recycled items to craft with. I’ve been making regular trips to my local thrift store and finding all kinds of great stuff to craft with. The newest project is a purse made from old jeans. This is a really cool way to turn a pair of old jeans into a functional piece. So don’t throw them away, turn them into a cool purse, and maybe even sell a few.
There are all sorts of ways to turn Crafting into Dollars and I hope you have as much fun as I do. Happy crafting to you all.
